तदर्थ एव दृश्यस्यात्मा

tadarth eva drishyasyatma

The seen exists for the purpose of the seer.

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 2.21

tad = that
arth = meaning, purpose
eva = thus
drishyasy = of the seen
atma = self

Maybe this works both ways and the seer also exists for the seen 💞
