द्रष्टृदृश्ययोः संयोगो हेयहेतुः

drashtri drishyayoh sanyogah heya hetuh

The cause of that avoidable pain is the union of the seer and the seen

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 2.17

drashtri = seer
drishyayoh = seen
sanyogah = union
heyah = avoidable
hetuh = cause

I don’t know why, but this one made me think about the film dumbo and how he (the seer) thought the feather (the seen) was needed to fly.
