2.12 Karma seen and unseen in this life has it’s root in the obstacles

क्लेशमूलः कर्माशयो दृष्टादृष्टजन्मवेदनीयः

klesa mulah karmasayodrstadrsta janma vedaniyah

Karma seen and unseen in this life has it’s root in the obstacles.

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 2.12

klesa = obstacles
mulah = root
karma = karma (cycle of cause and effect)
asayo = reservoir, womb
drsta = seen
adrsta = unseen
janma = birth
vedaniyah = experienced

When seemingly bad events happen, perhaps it’s that we are only able to see a part of it, and if we could see the whole of it, things would be OK.
