Yoga Sutra Illustration 1.30

vyadhi styana samsaya pramada alasya avirati bhrantidarsana alabdha bhumikatva anavasthitatvani citta viksepah te antarayah

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 1.30

vyadhi = disease
styana = dullness
samsara = doubt
pramada = carelessness
alasya = laziness
avirati = over-indulgence
bhrantidarsana = false perception
alabdha bhumikatva = failure to attain firm ground
anavasthitatvani = instability
citta viksepah = distractions of the mind
te antarayah = are the obstacles

This one is listing the obstacles to reaching illumination (samadhi). In the picture the man still has some of these things like disease and laziness, but I thought if he had already realised samadhi, then they wouldn’t be obstacles any more and he would be content, so I tried to draw him that way.
