sukha anusayi ragah

Pleasure follows desire.

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 2.7

sukha = pleasure
anusayi = follows
ragah = desire, attachment, binding

One way to interpret this could be that as a desire arises, it also creates the fulfilment of it, and that all desires eventually get fulfilled (though maybe not in the way we expect!).

Also, if the pleasure is following us, we may need to wait a moment so it can catch up with us 😉
