अहिंसाप्रतिष्ठायां तत्सन्निधौ वैरत्यागः

ahimsa pratisthayam tat samnidau vaira tyagah

When non-violence is established, in that presence hostility is given up.

Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, 2.35

ahimsa = non-violence
pratisthayam = when established
tat = that
samnidau = in the presence
vaira = hostility
tyagah = given up

At first when I read this I thought about how to be non-violent towards others, but then remembered to focus on how to be non-violent towards myself too!

Yoga is one thing that really helps me with that, giving me time to become aware of how my body and thoughts are.
